LONG TIME, NO BLOG!

WHAT UP PEEPS.

yea so i haven't blogged on here since.... i was still in high school WHOOAA. that seems like an eternity now haha!

so how's all your lives been going?

It was great being able to see the marching band strut their stuff on the field from the stands. completely different mainly because i could see all the errors that i would get on people's case about. like a baritone sax completely missing the yardline on a very long halt... dahah! yea seeing all that made me want to tech ayala. but would i really have the time for that? probably not.

theres a 4th year (i think he's 4th year) who is apparently teaching at Mayfair HS and i know him since we both play in saxophone ensemble together. i was very surprised to see that he was at the show. and in relevance to that, he had a masterclass that he played in and i wasn't very impressed since he's a 4th year.. oh well

anyways, it was great catching up with all the high schoolers i used to spend every lunch with haha. college has been great! i'm enjoying the freedom. however there's more pressure on every test that i take since each test is like a quarter of my entire grade and you really can't risk to mess up on any tests. so far the worst grade i've gotten on a test (out of 2 i've taken so far) is a 70% because it was out of 10 questions. eh whatever i'll do better on the next one. midterm is going to be crazy for anthropology. looots of stuff that can be covered on the test.

and for the music aspect, i've been enjoying it. i hate concert band because its like high school concert band all over again but it's a better group. we have some awesome flute soloists and i'm now principal tenor saxophone for the group cuz there was supposed to be one guy ahead of me but he never shows up. none of the music is difficult. one of the pieces i need to work out because its just something you can't just sightread no problem. I've been doing 3 hour practice sessions. which are usually at night or middle of the day since those are the times my practice rooms are usually vacant. it's been a good experience here in the music program.

i'm probably going to sell this new saxophone i just got. it's a great horn no doubt, but for the price, i could get something better such a selmer Mark VI which are considered the best horns on the planet.

wowzers

It has been a most eventful past few weeks since I've last blogged on here. Almost two months XD

So I'm going to make a blog on here just for blogspot!

Ok well I took a while to finally get around to writing this since I needed to do my english senior manuscript. but now i'm done!

I'm really excited for PROM thats in two days!!! So far everything is working out just great! =) I'm really glad I didn't have to do much planning this year such as dealing with the transportation and everything since that was always difficult. Also the location is much better this year. Dana Point Ocean Institute. I saw some pictures online and it looks really cool. Next to the beach I think it is. Party bus and everything wooo! =) and then the following day is kristen sang's bday party!!

Also, the stuff that I'm playing for senior talent show and also senior song is coming along great. I learned the senior song super quick since its really easy on guitar. talent show stuff has been fun. we had our audition today and it went pretty well i think. idk why but we all seemed to have gotten nervous lol. probably because we're used to the hallway full of just random people walking around.

I don't think i've mentioned on here but I'm going to CSULB for suure! I'm excited since I took a look around at the campus after my placement exam for english which was extremely easy haha. theres a lot of nice artwork all around the school. i should upload some pics i took while i was there. i'm very excited for the next few months in my life.

another note. i have some badass senioritis for trig class XD. i have like a 79.5 X_X. i could get my B back if i try to do really well on the next test. But not likely. we shall see. if that happens it would be awesome though cuz i might get a A in english!

ok I'm done writing for this. I kinda want to do some other things besides write.

i question myself

I'm sitting here attempting to study for my Government AP course. The test is tomorrow. It has 70 something questions on it and I have only been studying for maybe an hour. It was a very unfocused study session that my back was very sore. I don't know why my back is sore after I run or just from school. Anyways, I'm actually writing a blog more like my other counterparts on wordpress and blogspot. With all the capitals and correct grammar you can think of. (not really)

I question myself wondering, "Should I have really taken Gov. AP?" In the first semester, it was much easier in that the tests for the first half were no larger than 40 questions. It has now since doubled that size and has become extremely difficult for me to be able to retain so much information. Especially since I also have difficulty retaining what goes on in class. No doubt, Mr. Christiansen is the best teacher I've ever had in my entire life. But the tests are whats killing me! 80 questions on one chapter???? Lately, my test scores have been lucky enough to reach a C-.... while almost everybody around me gets a B or better. I wonder at times how I would do if I was in a regular government class. I would definitely be getting an A. But how would it have affected my college acceptances? Perhaps not very much. The main factor for me I recall now is the fact that I HATE being in classes with stupid people all around me. Nothing worse than being the smart one out of a bunch of stoners... also a cause of distractions. I do tend to get distracted and trail off in my mind in Gov AP.

Maybe it's because I constantly have a song in my head, or just thinking about random stuff. High school has officially become boring to me. However, Salvation is soon to come.

back to the norm

so today was a lot better than yesterday XD. i woke up around 9. i just relaxed and took it easy getting ready for school. normally it takes me a while so i really took my time. it was very very nice =)

showed up around 10:15ish and found all the other people who are in my 1st period inside the band room since thats where were lead to yesterday after the sub had to leave. so upon showing up in there i went into stone's office and talked to him about my acceptance to both CSULB and APU.

we talked about the teachers, location, education, costs. he said go to the school with good teachers. CSULB definitely has good sax teachers. the two main ones (Sal Lozano, and Jay Mason) play in the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band. which is probably the best big band in the world. no joke. APU has Rusty Higgins who is also an amazing player. mr. stone said to help me out even more i should make a pro's and cons list for each college. so i think i'll do that here. they both have great jazz ensembles too.

CSULB

pros cons
-decent dorms -farther drive
-good distance from home -no commercial music study
-nice location (irvine XD) -higher demand in music department
-conservatory of music -only one scholarship for lessons ($550-1000)
-overall cost around $15,000 - dorms might not be that great
-lots of clubs and activities -campus doesn't look that great
-great teachers
-lots of opportunity for the future
-voted 3rd best value in the nation
by priceton

APU

pros cons
-nice dorms -christian affilation
-already ahve 10 grand in scholarships -close to home lol
-very nice faculty -private university= $$$$$$ (36 grand)
-nice facilities -campus is at two sites
-christian affiliation -not sure how good their music really is
-commercial music major -not sure about success afterwards
-close to home
-they actually call me about stuff

so i'm probably gonna add more to this list tomorrow when i have more time to think. i should be heading off to bed soon since i wake up so dam early! X__X

oh and i checked UCLA admittances today just for the hell of it. cuz if you have seen my last few blogs, i never even auditioned for them. so i went on and there was a very courteous message saying, "we regret to inform you that you did not make it into UCLA." pfftt. hahah i didn't really care to go there anyways though. especially since they didn't even give me a chance and its kinda far.

saturday is chill

i'm soore today from working out and i'm likin it =) i need to work out my pecs hahaha! so when i work out now i'm going to really focus in on the pecs cuz thats what makes you look big. for guys i'm talkin about XD

today was fun. i had to go to school at 6:30 am which wasn't the fun part. it was for esperanza jazz festival. the jazz 2 band sounded fine. they won first in their division. good job! and jazz 1 we had some disturbances in the force as mr. stone said but we did well nontheless. we got 2nd by .3 but who cares about scores when it comes to jazz bands honestly. i'm considering it as a gauge of our progress rather than how we do against other schools. i got to hear some heavy class jazz bands. westlake has an awesome band. they played cut n' run by gordon goodwin which has a crazy lick in the beginning for saxes and they played it and it had a lil bit of clarity issues but its definitely better than what we could do XD.

before awards there was a combo playing which was composed of the fullerton jc faculty. they were AWESOME! they're some serious pros mann. they played so in tune to each other like their ideas and what they do. it would take a while to explain so just ask me what i mean later haha! the alto sax guy was amaazing. actually everybody was in that combo. thats the level i would like to reach someday. to be able to improvise and write music like that MAN!

very inspirational performance for me =) now i'm home just chillin. i got a letter from CSULB saying i got a scholarship for lessons. so it will come in the form of a waiver fee from private lessons. its worth from $550-1100 a year. i was hoping for something that was worth more... but its better than nothing. and so far APU even with all the scholarships they gave me, would still cost me 25 grand. i still believe theres more opportunity at CSULB though. i'm gonn have to talk to Mr. Stone and my teacher, ray, about my final decision.

this is my let it all hang out area

i need to get back on my diet again. i checked my weight and its not where i would like it to be. i haven't been able to run or workout much and i have been eating quite a bit in the past few days. so its time to cut back all over again. stupid hw. i won't complain about practicing though cuz i really need it haha!

i'm heading out to costa mesa tomorrow to practice with my accompanist for my long beach audition THIS SATURDAY. and while i'm out there, i'm gonna drop by irvine XD

today, i went to forever 21. i bought a dope purple and black jacket. i'm gonna wear it tomorrow =) one thing i noticed is that the zipper is on the left side so i was like "wait.... this is a girl jacket???" but i know its a guy's for sure which i find strange. maybe i got a rare one that has the zipper on the wrong side XDD. jk.

i don't think i can go to sadies this year =/

ZOMGGG

i haven't posted since sunday. noooo wayyyyyyy! hahahah!

duuude! my dad is all into left 4 dead now! he got a new computer so its all crisp and fast on his X_X. faster than mine haha. pretty random. and he's also doing this online hemetite jewelry thing too. the magnetic bracelets and such and such. his site is www.mrmagnetman.com

not bad for someone who knows nothing about websites. i'm serious lol take a look!

anyways i guess i haven't posted here in a while since there isn't anything really new. i need to get back on my audition piece again cuz i've been kinda slacking off on it due to school work =/

since both my parents are retired, they're home A LOT. so i have less privacy now -___- so i get distracted as well.

my mom has been asking me for the past few weeks what i want to do for my birthday. I FIGURED IT OUT =) what i would like to do is go snowboarding with CTF on the weekend!! =D i think its interesting how lately our group has only been able to come together in threes. disneyland was me, dom, and nicole. UCI visit was me, nicole, michelle. and snowboarding was me, dom, and michelle. so THIS TIME i wanna get us all together! and then afterwards we can play pool or somethin lol.

NOOOO WAY

i forgot to add this but, earlier today after church i went to this new sushi place called Sushi Q. over by the starbucks next to the shell gas station.

it was their grand opening today and apart of that they had all you can eat sushi for

ONLY $2.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

incrediblleeee.

but i was thinking it was going to suck for a while but it ended up not being that bad. only problem was there was a kinda of a long line and they had to close it like every 20 minutes to replenish their sushi cuz it would just be gone in seconds. hahah. i had like 2 plates of as much as i could think wouldn't be too greedy XD
so Music Man is finally over now. it was fun hanging around the other people while waiting to go on hahaha! omg so much fun back there. but yea it was fun in the end. i'm just glad its over cuz now i can get back to my homework.

OH on friday i didn't fall asleep all day!!! i finally decided to try having a cup of coffee in the morning to see how that works. and it actually works quite well. and then during church today i was nodding off during the sermon. i got like 8 hours of sleep so i was surprised. i always need a lot of sleep X_X

my mom had her last day of work on friday also. she's now retired! daaaaam. both my parents are retired now... and i haven't even hit college yet O_o. so i guess i'll be seeing them around the house more now. darn no privacy =( like right now my dad just walked into my room when i'm trying to type this just saying random stuff.

a lot of drama has been happening around me, and luckily haven't really been apart of any but is this drama season? sure its stuff that needs to be settled but dam... why now all of a sudden? maybe its just because its senior year and people want to get it all out before its too late idk. 555. 404.

this is random but i hate the word awkward now. i've heard it everywhere for like the past few months. gawdd

V-Day weekend

honestly had an awesome v-day weekend. =)

on friday all i wanted to do was get OUT of school hahah! so afterschool, me and my dad went to chick's sporting goods to rent snowboard gear for saturday cuz i was going with michelle and dom up to mt. high for an awesome day of fresh paoowdaaaa! so we head over there and theres a HUGE sale going on right now 10-50% everything. another store closing sale unfortunately. so my dad saw that sale and started asking about boards and what kind of deal we can get and what they had to offer. and i was still in the mindset of getting just rental. but then my dad decided that he would buy me a board and bindings for an early b-day present. hey i won't complain =) i was really surprised! but i just need to get boots now which we did rent. so i walked out of there a happy boy =))) it's just that my actual b-day won't be so jolly cuz i already got the present lol.

saturday. MT. HIGHHHH! this was my first time up in the mountains with fresh snow. and it was sooo much fun!!! michelle and dom took me on the intermediate slopes. and the lift going up was REALLY fast. so i was nervous at first heading up there. and of course it was FREEEEEEEZING. something 25 degrees? X___X so since the snow was fresh, everytime i would fall it wouldn't hurt as much. but the snow would just get everywhere lol. sometimes i would fall forward and the snow would just get all over my face and i would look like an old man XD and then all the snow would go down my jacket BRRR!! and also my knitted scarf would get covered in snow too. while up on the slopes i was starting to be able to carve!! dominic was helping me out with that cuz i honestly had no clue how to do it. and when we would get down to the bottom of the mountain we would go over to where there was these ramps for the rails. except we wouldn't ride the rails. we were going off the ramps thats all =) some i landed. the others i fell. one of michelle's friends were up there too and he also tried the jumps with us and it was so funny. around 3 o'clock or so we were heading to the restaurant at the base cuz we were starting to get hungry. while in there, michelle was trying to decide on what to get since everything there is pretty expensive. while we were about to walk out, we saw suzie friedman walk by. me and michelle were like, oh wait is that... but she was soaking wet so we didn't really say anything.

by then a grey gloomy cloud was starting to cover the top of the mountain. we sat around thinking wondering if we really want to go back up for one last run before our 8 hour pass was up. those clouds were a lil intimidating. but in the end we went up. when we got to the top it was like extreme fog! it was tight snowboarding down though cuz it was all foggy and hard to see anybody lol. but i was able to consistently carve down on the less steep parts =) so i'm happy that i starting to be able to carve. i'm just nowhere close to consistent. so overall it was an awesome v-day!

sunday. i think something woke me up around 2 o'clock in the morning... so i didn't get that great of sleep after that. but i woke up later and i returned the rental boots and headed off to church. the sermon was about how christians are typically afraid to spread the gospel which is 100% true. i've found myself hesitating to spread the word because i would either get nervous, or afraid that the person won't care. so maybe thats something i should try someday. after church we had our usual 3rd sunday potluck and the theme was potatoeees! it was awesome as usual =) after that, i went home to grab some stuff and headed off to irvine.

so i arrived like almost an hour later that i was supposed X_X. and upon arriving there was some unexpected drama that also showed up....but things improved later. so i got to hang out with nicole for a while and later on met up with jayvee and also one of nicole's newer friends meghan li. EVERYBODY JOIN THE MEGHAN LI IS ANNOYING GROUP ON FACEBOOK!! its just for fun just in case you were wondering. she's not really annoying but just join it =) anyways they took me to the commons at middle earth called Pippin. college food in general is so much better than the crap we have back at ayala hahaha! anyways it was fun getting to hangout with those guys plus it gives me a better idea of what college life is like. oh and traffic is nice heading back home at 1:20 am cuz theres hardly any cars XD only thing was i would drift into other lanes cuz i was so tireddd.. but i was able to hold on till i got home wheww. i guess that green tea wasn't strong enough in caffiene.

now for today! woke up at 10:30 very refreshed. still sore as hell from snowboarding but better nonetheless. my mom wanted me to do another photo shoot with someone different to potentially save money cuz prestige photos is expensive. i don't get what she worries so much about. she's probably gonna end up spending more this way.... oh well. pics were kinda cool in the end. after that i was on the comp some more messing around on pet society oh gawhshh. haha! and then later in the day i finally got my photo sesh pics when i was chiling with gerry, alan, joseph, and taylor developed. got some really good shots in =) i'll upload later!!

what a busy wed??

hoooly crappp. its gonna be busy tomorrow. i'll be missing A TON of school tomorrow. 0 period i'll still be there for the whole period. but right afterwards i'm taking that NAEP test that a bunch of seniors were chosen to do. so that is gonna last 90 minutes so i'll be out of 1st period and somewhat into second per. i should be staying at 3rd. 4th period i'll be leaving at 11 to go home and get dressed for a scholarship music competition. grand prize is $5,000 scholarship. but i need to get all the way to the top and that will be very difficult, especially against all the pro piano players there are in this world haha. i'll be playing my audition piece for saxophone that i've been working on.

and then later at night, drama performance. what sucks is that our orchestra isn't an orchestra anymore, but a marching band that plays a lil march at the end. we were supposed to play through the entire book of 45 songs or so that are in the musical. but we received the music only 2 weeks ago and honestly, thats not enough time to put it all together with 12 musicians. so now we're going to be dressing up in our uniforms (the nice uniforms, not the old ones) and we're going to march around the inside playing some song that we need memorized and i'm sure nobody does haev it memorized. i worked on it today but honestly, i need to focus on audition music more X_X.

i thought it was raining right now. and then it stopped like 4 minutes ago. i looked outside and there are no clouds o_O. i think it was a sprinkler that was broken and just shot up water in the air. XD

oh my dad told me a funny random joke. it has to do with spaghetti.

so this guy who's married had sex with a italian woman and got her pregnant. he told her that in order to prevent a scandal from going on i'll pay for a ticket back to Italy for you. and when you have the kid, send me a postcard, not an email, and just write a code word. lets use the code word"spaghetti" for the baby. so just write that for when you have the kid so i can send you money for the kid. so she said ok and she went off back to Italy. 9 months later or so, his wife comes in with the mail. "honey theres a postcard for you. it doesn't have a return address or anything, it just has a weird message that i don't understand." he took a look at and began to read the postcard in shock. it said, "spaghetti spaghetti spaghetti spaghetti. need lots of extra sauce." HAHHA.

so if you don't get it, the italian woman had four kids. so she needed a lot of money thus the "extra sauce." ok i'm done for tonight ahaah

Monday, February 9, 2009

yay no school!

so today was a relaxing day. i worked out for like 45 mins. then i went to drop off tux and pick up the pics. afterwards i hung out with some church buddies for a while cuz i had nothing to do. came home. started studying this unit circle and also trying to work out some plans for this scholarship competition i joined in on. its a music competition hosted by the rotary club. so the 1st place winner can get a 5 grand scholarship and the second and third get thousand dollar ones. mr. stone strongly suggested that i do it so i'm gonna give it a try. its just that i hope my accompanist can make it and that i have to miss some school on wed. to do it.

it is extremely coolld tonight!!! feels like the mountains at night on the slopes! i'm planning on going snowboarding saturday woooot! that was random haha. oh yea and i'm really thinking about if i should get a job after my auditions when i still have school. cuz like last year, i struggled in school and social life because of it. but i got money so i didn't have to ask parents all the time for cash and they're probably not doing the best economically. hmmm. i just remembered that in two weeks BOTH my parents are going to be retired O_O.. crazy huh? well i'm gonna random cut to this now

so my upcoming plans:
-school musical which i'm playing in. starting on wed. ending i forgot when
-scholarship competition on wed.
-gov test T_T
-a boring 4th period tomorrow and for the rest of the semester X_x
-visit to irvine
-another three day weekend =)
-APU audition and CSULB audition

what the fruit?

i heard that on the radio for the drink called "Jarritos." which is just some fruit soft drink.. psssh.

so today i had orchestra practice practice today. it was disappointing honestly. i came in hoping all the others would deliver some completion of the music. but it was far from it. i could tell almost everybody hasn't practiced it except for a select few. i didn't practice it either honestly, but i'm able to sightread a lot of it though. so we tried running through one of the songs real quick with the pianist who is sort of leading the band. and after that she just told us that we're not gonna be able to play everything in this book. and we would only play like a few of them and do some march afterwards which i thought is random. i'm not in the mood to march at a play o_O. so yea they actually want us to march around afterwards haha! do some 4 to 5's around the MPR XD jk. so yea i'm not satisfied with the orchestra at the moment. i had the soprano all set up too and i didnt' even get to play that =( so there seriously needs to be some major practices in the next few days if we want to pull it together.

another thing is the choice of players. most of the top players don't want to do the musical which i thought was lame. it doesn't even take up that much time... oh well. i'm sure this will all work out. so i'm gonna be pretty busy next week with shows. and i'm seriously going to have this music down perfect this weekend sometime. 3 day weekend for the next weekends!! woooo!!! i already got some things planned that i hope will go through.

oh yea everybody is getting sick right now. WTH IS GOIN ON? people need to stay home when they're sick. i did that and i got well much faster. only negative thing is i'm a lil behind on trig cuz i missed probably the most important day. but its ok i'll get it soon.

this is how i find relief

this post is a day old. so just remember that

giant strawberries from chino/pomona area always lift my spirits up =) there was some that were bigger than this one in the half flat my dad bought. i can recall my dad bringing a few flats up to mammoth when we would head up there and we would give them to some of the locals that we know. thats how we dooo in socal!

so far this week has been pretty packed. me, taylor, and helen have been doing all the planning for winter formal. there isn't any real big conflicts so far. except for michelle deciding to go off to west covina mall with dom for their pics rather than staying with the group -_-... and dominic was complaining to me about how we haven't been informing him about the plans. most of our planning has been kept between the three of us so that we just don't spread some tentative plan and then it changes the next day and people would still assume the old plans and just be plain ol' confused. dominic started sounding a lot like michelle. this was on aim and i could've made it real nasty cuz he was starting to piss me off. he chooese to leave every lunch to go off and do whatever rather than stick around and discuss these plans. shewt he's never done anything for a group so he shouldn't be complaining. but if i bring that up to him he's just gonna get angry and a stupid fight will develop. so there's no need for that.

anyways back to the week. monday i had lots of stuff to do that i can't remember. mostly hw. and relax. tuesday i had honor band performance. last one forever! and it went pretty well. there were of course "disturbances in the force." but overall after reviewing footage my dad took, it was good =) i can't help but recollect on some fond memories in that band. i remember first year in, sara aranda showed me the ropes such as grabbing all the first parts before all the other schools and of course, taking the first chairs XD. i remember playing into the raging river with its exciting 7/8 time. second year, the directors divided the parts lol. i loved chester haha! no seriously i wish we could play it for symphonic band. and then symphonic overture which we ended up playing for symphonic ahhaa. i also felt closer to the people in that year. this year went by really quick. i was dissappointed on the guy they picked for the clarinet solo cuz he can't play the rhythm correctly. whatevs though. still went well.

and now for today. i'm so bored during schoool! i really wish i didn't have 4th period band! i don't need three band classes!!! all i do is nothinggg. but james said he's gonna have me teach clarinet during concert band... alriteee. not looking forward to that but oh well. i tried taking a nap but i wasn't too successful. drumline floors when folded are a lil small for me haha! so yea. then i had skills meeting which was boring. and then it reminded me of how i left early for a skills comp to go get ready for winter formal. hah it was a skills thing now i remember! sadies was because of jazz festival. ahh yes. the rush of my junior year is coming back at me.

i found myself trying to clean my room right now also O_O what got me doin that is trying to find my dance pictures from last year. i still can't find my sadies ones right now =( i'm gonna keep looking but i need to do more gov reading T__T

UCLA "rescheduling" audition

thats pretty much how it was. so my parents drove me down to UCLA so i'm less stressed and everything about the audition. good thing cuz traffic in was horribleeeee. i would hate to have to drive to a job everyday in that kind of traffic. thats just stupid. haha. so when we started getting in closer to UCLA, i got to see the surrounding shopping area. its pretty tight down there! tons of places to eat with tons of clothing stores like urban outfitters which was the only one i really can remember right now. my parents liked the area so if i do make it there they won't be dissappointed or anything. haha CSULB isn't in the greatest area XD

anyways so upon arriving we got into a parking lot and walked over to the building for my audition. i was able to get a practice room and be able to work with janus when she arrived. so they were running about half an hour behind schedule which was perfectly fine with me. just gave me more time to warm up. soon the lady came down and lead me to the room for my audition. and as soon as i walked into the room, i knew i was in the wrong place.

these guys were legit jazz guys. i could tell from their real laid-back speech and everything. and i've been preparing a classical piece for months, not jazz..... so at first they were greeting me very nicely. asked a few questions like how long i've been playing and where i'm from. and all questions were mainly from one guy and theres like a total of 6 faculty members i'm standing in front of. surpringly i was not nervous. probably beign sick kept me calm.

so then they moved onto me playing. as soon as i told them what i was playing, the head guy said, "hold on, hold on, wait a minute. this for the jazz program, we don't want to hear that we want to hear your improvization and creativity." soooooooooooo. i've been preparing the wrong thing this whole time. the other guys seemed like it would been alrite to hear me play at least a little. but head man just wanted jazz. one of them told me i could play a melody and just see if i can mess around on it. that wasn't the mind set i had going in there. so they however wanted to give me a chance by getting me rescheduled for classical audition. it was funny hearing how these faculty guys though would argue about me transferring later. one guy saying he can transfer later, the other saying no. just back and forth.

so me and janus were escorted into another room to talk to the undergrad advisor there. he talked to me and said plainly, "well you're not going to get into the ethnomusicology (jazz studies) program." aww mannn. but at least i'll have a shot in the classical area. so he talked to me more about what i have planned and went over to talk to the guy running the winds classical auditions. so i might be able to get a slot for next weekend. but it would have to be in the morning because of winter formal T_T. so in a way it was kind of a waste.

these auditions however give a look into what college i'm getting myself into. obviously UCLA is very serious and strong in what they do. the players that go there are already extraordinary players at the top of their game. honestly, i'm not at that level in jazz. classical might be another story but it would have to be on clarinet. so yeeeep. UCLA music program isn't easy to get in unlike how certain ayala juniors might think.

when i got home i was dying to see where the hell the ethnomusicology info was on the music site. i checked it again. i didn't find it......... soooo i was blind sided. no link or anything. so that was pretty lame. well at least APU is promising =)

so afterwards i headed off to a church sleepover taht is actually at the church. so all day i noticed people have a hard time telling what i'm saying cuz my voice is so horrible. my parents got all pissed off at me cuz i would sound like i'm snapping back when i just didn't want to really talk much. anyways, church sleepover. it was soo fun! i wasn't gonna do the sleepover part but i was definitely gonna hangout until they all went to sleep. so some highlights were talking to momotree a lot haha, playing dodgeball/nationball with inflatable globe balls that i loved to curveball at everybody, playing this one game that was like a combiniation of age of empires and soemthing else, anddd playing with the lil kids of course haha! i play with the little kids a lot at my church. they call me "Big Nate" cuz theres another lil kid named nathan so i'm big nate XD. so it was a lot of fun. i got home around 2:30ishhh. my parents are so much lighter on me this year with curfew. lame! i needed that last year cuz i was actually out a lot more!!

and today was church. i was asleep half the sermon XDDDD omggg i'm soo bad! i'm sitting next to my parents too haha. afterwards i was more awake. got to talk and hang with the youth group some more. of course it was still hard for me to talk but i'm getting better as the days go by. i'm pretty much recovered except for the congestion. and nowwwww

i'm watching vids from the past marching season T_____T i miss it sooo muchhh ay ay ayyy. ok so so so so SO! i have UCLA audition again this saturday and i'm probably gonna play some clarinet too. then afterwards i'll have winter formal. and then its a 3 day weekend!! woooo!! planning on making a visit to irvine again sooon and actually chilling for a while too. haha. can't wait!

oh and #1 choice audition is in mar. 7thhhh. i should prepare jazz stuff just in case X_X

busy weekend aheadd

seriously this is gonna be a busy weekend. except for maybe sunday hah! i might go celebrate with friends for finishing my first audition or seomthing idk! today was a good day overall i think. real easy going since i have 3 periods of band!! symphonic band we sightread some piece that i already forgot what its called but its whatevvs. for jazz band, mr. stone told me to bring in my soprano sax mouthpiece and i didn't know why but i brought it. he handed out a new chart for us called Grace. its a nice ballad and james and mr. stone chose me to do the solo for it on soprano =) i thought i wasn't ever gonna play soprano again yay! 4th period, i practiced haha. oh yea i get to play clarinet and soprano sax also for the musical this year. theres so many people involved for the music O_O hopefully that turns out alrite.

oh man only 2 more days until first audition! the time has finally come.

OMG

YESSS! I GOT THROUGH GOV AP WITH A 82.4%!!!!

i was afraid i got like a C+ cuz i was doing pretty bad most of his tests getting a lot of C's.... but i'm glad that i got out of it! whewww. now to do better for next semester. i hate having more band periods than i need. haha. 4th is gonna be boring. i don't think i can get out of it. so i might have to stick with a 4th period TA. so lamee. oh well. we had our senior graduation information meeting thing in the MPR today. got to hear some information thats somewhat important.

so our graduation isn't going to be at the football field this year. why you ask? they are installing astroturf and a new track ! WHY THE FUUUUCK DIDN'T THEY DO THAT SOOONERRRR. of all the years.... dammit!! all the monday night practices of stupid ditches and holes in teh feaken field!!!!! LAEMFIOAMFEWA;OJFWJFNCVKXZEIJWO;. so they said that they want to have it at Citizen's bank arena. no clue where that is. but apparantly if they do that, all the high schools in teh district will be also having theirs at the same place at different times. smart right??? NOT. grad night isn't changing at least.

so i had a busy time after school as well. first i got soem pacific fish grill for .99 cent fish tacooos! those are so badass! i <3 taco tuesday. afterwards i had to take taylor home, but i made him go with me on my errands cuz i wasn't gonna just drive him home then do my stuff. so i went to tuxedo junction to tell the lady my color. Black with a hint of white. afterwards i dropped of taylor. then i went home, called APU about audition this friday. so it looks ilke 3 o'clock will be the magic time. hha. UCLA is gonna be tough to navigate for. i heard its like a city.

later on that day was my last honor band rehearsal! mann. i've had a lot of good memories for the past 3 years i was in it! although i hated how i couldn't audition for one of the solos after he heard everybody. cuz i didn't know the music and i asked him later if i could try it after he already picked some dude that can't even play the freaken solo in time..... stuuuupid. so we're stuck with a bad clarinet soloist in one song. nothing i can do now. so the songs are starting to come together. concert next tuesday!! at don lugo! 7 pm!!! $5 entrance fee. theres definitely good music this year.

also i'm amazed.... how after all the drama tahts already happened, there's still shit happening. dam i want it resolved already! even though i dont' really have much to do with it, i want to help since they're my closest friends. i would say more but i would singling out certain people on a public blog which i don't want to do haha.

anyways i'm done with this crap. i wish things could be how they used to be last year, or any year before. lol i wish i graduated last year. economy sucks now.... feajfe;oaw

LAST half of high school!

first semester is overrr! hats off to an amazing band season and a lot of good times. now for the real music to start haha. schedule how it's gonna look so far

0- English 12 CP w/ Higgins
1- Government AP w/ Christensen (finally spelled it right hah)
2- Symphonic band
3- Jazz Ensemble
4- more band???
5-stuck in this period with trig still.

so mrs. o'keefe is lame in that she doesn't understand that i have 3 periods of band when i really need two. so i gotta talk to mr. stone about if i should do T.A. for him or just see if i can get my math period moved even though i asked her already if i could move it.

Things are looking up for this second semester. i'll be able to focus on my grades better than during marching season, i won't have annoying econ class, i will hopefully study more for government as well.

I'm going to winter formal too =) i wasn't sure about going for a while due to the cost ($100 for a couple $____$ ). rented my tux today and luckily my parents are ok with paying for the tux since i covered the tickets. i have to go back tomorrow though to work out the color details since my date was out getting her dress at the time.

now to talk about this weekend. i can't remember what happened on saturday. lets see... i remember i woke up, worked out, and then.... hmm. i guess i didn't do much. OH i went to royal buffet haha! so i guess that was about it. haha. oh and i didn't go to club finality. i didn't know anybody else that was going so i just decided to forget it. sunday! went to church and there was a pretty good message. in youth group they talked about how man rebels against God. some basic principles were how consequences are a result of an action and there's good and bad ones. following the path of God will lead to God's eternal grace even with bad choices that were made. However, if you follow Satan's lies, consequences will surely lead to death. now what it means by Satan's lies was how Adam and Eve decided to disobey God by eating the forbidden fruit. This showed the obedience of the two. They had followed his lies and had doubt in God. So moral is, never lose hope in God even through the most rough times in life. And also do not fall for Satan's lies. they are more common in your life than you think. our society has allowed for some things to be "accepted" even though they are wrong. lying to parents, stealing, disobeying parents, underage drinking, sex before marriage. the list goes on and on. so thats why it is important to be able to distinguish the immoral actions that haunt our lives today in order to find God's Grace. i know that it is impossible to prevent these things but there's always God's Forgiveness. alrite enough about that haha! theres a sermon there for all those who don't go to church i guess haha!

so after church, i headed off to UCI w/ michelle to drop off her brother. while we were there i got to visit nicolee! =) we had to go to the gym in order to find her though ahha. and i had to put up my driver's liscense as collateral in the gym to get a guest pass. that place was pretty tight though. makes me wanna go to UCI. buuuut, it would waste my time in the end since they don't really have a strong music program =/ i wish i got to go to VIBE XIV though!! i knew probably more crews than nicole and jayvee combined! hahaha. oh welllls. $30 is expensive for just spectating especially when you have no money T_T. maybe next year XD.

today was my busiest day. woke up around 9:30 haha! so glad to not have school today. around 1:30 went to tux place and rented. it's gonna come out to more than i remember o_O. luckily i'm not paying for it this time XD. afterwards me and helen and jon lei checked out this disney store over by where toys r us used to be! dang they have a lot of stuff there! and its cheaper that disneylanddd. after that i went to accompanyist practice for auditions. it is starting to come along very nicely. i just hate how with saxophones it's much more difficult to stay in tune. or maybe its just my horn. idk. anyways after that, i helped out dominic ask michelle to winter formal. i just video taped it even though i couldn't see them in the video ahah! so yea interesting weekend . and an even more interesting next weekend! APU and UCLA audition O_____O wish me luck!

rawr

so i've been posting on xanga a lot more recently than on here haha! i guess because i know more people on xanga than this. no worries. i'll still be on here.

random fact about nathan!

he just noticed that his zipper was undone for the second time o_O

dang i'm so tiredd! idk why but i just feel really really exhausted. finals are finally over!! gahh. 2nd period econ was ok. the test was kinda long. i used "outside resources" to assist. mr. kleibacker is very trusting haha! so i however liked that class, before winter break haha cuz idk why but i just started falling asleep like crazy in a bunch of my classes. so i'm glad thats over with though. band class was too easy haha. scale testing is faster now but i wish i could just volunteer so i wouldn't have to wait forever. and then free period!

i always have difficulty finding something to do afterschool that isn't boring. grr... (jealous of college friends) grrr... today wasn't the case though. so i needed to go run home and get econ book cuz i forgot it. when i returned, i went in and returned it and then, me and some weird girl named eunice were about to go chill buuut. stupid security guards stopped us and told me and her to go to the office and get a copy of our schedule before he would let us go. this reminded me of how daniel blanco got a saturday for leaving campus during lunch. i remember that i actually did that last year hah! luckily we didn't get caught XD. so eunice said that she can't get caught out of 6th. so we just met up later. in the meantime i hung out a dom's house playing audiosurf while eating munchies.

picked up the ghetto girl ahah! totally made my day, especially with the scary melons and everything XD so we hung out for a while. then i had to go home for sax lesson. ray said he was gonna be late so i was practicing like 45 minutes before he got there, and i had an hour lesson. so 1 hr. 45 mins of consecutive playing time. i haven't felt so tired from praciticing in A LONG TIME. after i ate dinner, watched some stand-up comedy on comedy central. funny stuff! just too tireddd.. i fell asleep watching some. and now i'm here. not sure if i want to go to that club finality tomorrow. i need to find people who are gonna go.

where would you be without band?

i was watching America's Best Dance Crew last night and the crews would speak about how they would've been thugs if it weren't for dancing. this got me thinking how this has similarities to band. I asked myself the question, "where would i be without band?" me and taylor hurst discussed this after finishing our CPI survey. i got to hear the background of taylor except more in depth. he had similar experiences as me. we both had to leave a private school to a public school, and thus losing many, if not all, childhood friends. i had some time and few friends and taylor had none. this is when i began to think about the question. I recalled how my brother was in high school. he never joined a club, never did any extracurricular activity, he hung out with the same group of dudes everyday with nobody new. i probably would've been close to that if it wasn't for band. I met so many people in the past 4 years. I also made some amazing friends who i hope to be able to keep for the rest of my life. sure there has been some bumps in the road, but thats just part of life. nothing's perfect.i'm seriously gonna miss band.... even though i'm gonna hopefully be in better musical groups buut stilll its not the same.

Taylor told me how he came straight from private to public in the 8th grade. I remember meeting him. me and dom were one of his first friends in canyon hills. I remember him being so timid that he could barely speak more than a few words to people. and now he's around tons of people with both band and choir.

i've been talking about this stuff lately since my last performance is tomorrow. T____T so many memories. so much time..... soo much love and passion.... devotion.... sacrifice...... enjoyment..... friendship..... being a badass. i'll never forget it. and i'll never forget those that i've spent all that time with. so i guess this will be kinda the public shoutouts for the entire four years! its going to be extremely limited on people.

DOMINIC: I know you probably won't read this buuut thanks for always being there. even though for the past few seasons you pretty busy with michelle ahah. it was still fun. especially this last band season in the hotel! ohh man. i couldn't believe all the shit we did there! that duct tape came in handyy! anyways. its been great. thanks for being my best friend for the past 6 years. all the way back at eagle canyon to canyon hills back in the advanced band. then freshman year, with journeys by rail with us setting the bar haha! sophmore year with FEAR and some more ownage. and Road Not Taken with ultimate ownage. and the of course Opportunity Knocks where it was seriously the most amazing show ever. theres too much to add haha. thanks though. we got to chill and keep in contact even if i do go off to berkelee for grad school.

NICOLE: Things have definitely changed between us these past few months. you going off to college has made it difficult to keep in contact like how we used to be back in band the band classes and stuff. Nonetheless, i can honestly say that my experience in the program would not have been nearly as fun or positively life changing if you weren't there =) i wish we could hit restart, and pause it at our favorite parts (sound familiar? haha. Tiger Lily *cough*). so we shared so much together not just last year, but even as far back as summer before my sophmore year. with the quartet. then marching band again even though i had given off the vibe taht i was a jerk ahah. buut things changed and we were actually beginning to be good friends. thanks for asking me to hangout with you and people! it got me out of the house XD cuz i used to be a couch potato. and then of course year of The Road Not Taken. i never enjoyed life more cuz of obvious reasons haha. i still look back to those days simply because they were so good. you've taught me a lot and i've been able to mature and become stronger from it. thanks for always being there! and now for this year. i was glad to see that you would still come back from UCI with your busy life and all to come see us =) thank you for the support! and once again, thank you for everything.

MICHELLE: feels like forever since we have been able to really hangout! it was fun being able to chill with you though for the first two years of band for me. you also taught me much and made band more fun! i have to say, lunch has beeen lameee. i remember we always were having fun during lunch and just messing around. CTF FOO LIFE!! even if we don't see each other as often, it'll always be with us in our hearts ms. #1. thanks for always being there! buut we seriously need to all regroup! last time was what? HOMECOMING?? daaang. i think we're due ahha!

so i guess i just really limited to it to CTF. Chaotic Triple's Foursome. Calling The Friends. Creating The Fun. Constantly Taming Fires. lol! getting back to the main subject. w/o band, life would have never been as great. thank you Ayala BAC!

sunday morning

hold on tight this is gonna be one hell of a ride.

SATURDAY was awesome. first i started off going to ayala to pick up joseph from poly club. i didn't know the drumline was practicing so i got to watch them a lil. haha teddy looks funny crabbing cuz he's really new to it still XD. and of course the bass 5 doesn't help either but yea. their show is ok for now. still only the beginning. i walked over to where poly club and i got to check out what the girls were doin. almost got me to join haha! got to talk to eunice about how nicolette and her named a tumbleweed after me (nate archibald)!! SO DOPE. so then i took joseph and headed over to taylor hurst's house to take him to gerry's. we started of playin some smash bros. on the 64. so old school. and slow haha. alan yoo then came so we had 5 people which fits perfect in my car.

we started off heading over to the crossroads park area. to our delight, it was snow day so they had the hill covered in snow for sledding and fun stuff like that all ironically on a hot day. so we were all walking around taking random pics. after that we headed over to joseph gaite's house to pick up his wallet and then we headed off to the (according to alan) "fake" cooper house. we wanted to get inside but, it wasn't possible unless we really decided to break some boards. some random person told us that we needed to get off so we just left. we then headed to the shoppes. surprisingly, we weren't stopped 6 million times by security for cameras unlike me ahha. so there wasn't much there so we headed BACK to crossroads park becuz jhan and john were supposed to be there, but they were at english springs... so we said screw that! and gerry told me about this dope spot to hit up for sunsets.

Rancho Hills dr. was simply amazing. the curved driveway up to the top had to be the best place for a sunset ever! and it was the best sunset i've ever seen. too bad i couldn't see it with a some special person. but at least i know where to go now. so as we watched the sunset into beautiful blue and orange ridge, directly behind us was the rising the the the moon! according to my friends (who i talked to later in the day), that saturday was the day that the moon was closest to the earth. and seriously, that moon was HUGE. i never seen it bigger in my life!!! so it was doope. we also got a great view of city lights as well. we moevd to a different spot in the same area to get even better city light pics. by then i was almost done with my second roll for the day and it was getting a lil dark for film pictures. so saturday was definitely a day full of beautiful scenery. i'm gonna miss chino hills...

after that we hit up some CPK. we tried to fill up on free bread as much as possible. ordered two pizzas. got out. then headed off to CVS so gerry could develop pics. while doing that, we went to best buy! i didn't expect to spend so much time on the macs there. macs are fun!! i called nicole to get some help on them. thanks again nicoley! while i was on the phone, gerry and taylor kept messing around making funny vids on the mac desktop. mac desktop was cheaper which i thought was surprisingly. so yea. i really want to get the macbook pro for my laptop. i'm gonna keep my desktop pc forevsss. hahah. not really though. so we spent like an hour and a half just messing around in there. oh yea! we also saw a new sony compact camera that takes pics when you smile. so annoying cuz there's 5 of us and we kept smiling randomly so it took a ton of pics haha hahah! ok.. later, joseph had to leave and i also did cuz i had to go to another sleepover XD

so sleepover again with same people minus one dude. so i was the only guy? we went to cue! first time since....... sadies?? O_O they have really expanded there and have A TON of new machines. i would scan the pics but i don't want to bust out the new printer yet. old one still has juice. so after that we went back to their house and watched lipstick jungle and fell asleep. that show is pretty good. haha.

SUNDAY
woke up on leather sofa. with balls on fire... ahhaah! it got too warm. haha. i also noticed my pants were down? i guess i pulled them down cuz it got to hot.. but i don't remember. i still had boxers on don't worrry. anywayyyyys.

i arrived at church to first a nice youth group meeting where we were beginning to study the first book of the bible, Genesis. we got to play with PLAYDOH! i haven't used that stuff in forever. first thing that came to my mind with i saw it was, i wanna light that on fire! cuz i've never tried it before and its always made me wonder what really does happen. does it explode like plastic explosive???? anywayys. the youth group thingy was fun. they had trouble with a macbook cuz they wanted to show a vid. i couldn't find internet with it so w/e. they got it eventually.

so then the main worship service began. today's topic was all about abortion. this is a topic that was kinda put aside somewhat due to all the drama about prop. 8. so first of all, i walked into the room as pro-choice. what i believed in was that the woman should have a choice to really have the baby. the US is overpopulated anyways and it would ruin their life anyways.

after this service though, i made a complete turnaround. my pastor began to talk about the basics of abortion and also how they conduct abortions when the baby is around 7 months old or second trimester, which is know as partial-birth or also late-term abortions(i forgot which one exactly). during this operation, the woman is induced into labor by some sort of method. the baby comes out of the womb but stop at the head so the baby's head is still in the womb. they then will use some scissors or forceps and jam that into the back of the neck then stick a vacuum into the baby's skull and remove the brain. i found it also ironic that mr. Christensen (i spelled it right nicole!) happened to have mentioned this on friday. so this method was quite shocking to hear about. i found it painful to imagine having a baby die in your lap from a poor decision. my pastor also brought in a speaker from the pregnancy clinic right down the ways in the same plaza. she spoke about her experiences and how taking the life of a baby is a serious decision. there isn't really much good from having an abortion. at least there is benefits in the long run if you still have the baby. so i learned how there is much more to the pro-life side than i thought. The woman from the clinic told a story about a woman that she knew. she got pregnant and the doctor said that her child was going to be handicapped. so she decided to go through with the abortion still thinking her baby was going to be handicapped. when the abortion was complete, the nurse asked," so why did you get an abortion?". she responded,"i was told that my baby was going to be handicapped." "really? your baby was perfect." it was so sad for me to listen to this story because of the potential that these babies could've had. that woman lost a life that would've made her proud to not have the abortion, even if the baby was handicapped.

i couldn't help but imagine what if one of my friends got pregnant. i couldn't help but imagine what it would've been like if i was still dating. the speaker's husband made a good point that the men have a strong stance in the issue as well. if nobody's gonna do what is right then there needs to be somebody there to do what is right. he was telling the men that we should stand up and not run away. i was asked this question once, "if you got me pregnant, would you run away from it, or stay by my side?" my answer, " i would stay with you. i won't run away." i knew that i would be as much apart of the ordeal as the girl and that she would need somebody to stand with her. i'm glad i made that decision. and also i don't indulge in sexual activity. 20 minutes of pleasure isn't worth a lifetime of mental and physical stress that can occur if i got her pregnant.

so back to the sermon. the pastor then went back onto the stage. he spoke about a woman that he had spoke to and tried to assist her with her pregnancy by counseling her not to get an abortion. when she returned he found that she had aborted the child. she came in crying in regret of her decision. the pastor then began to also cry on-stage. it was amazing how silent the room was. i have to admit i almost shed some tears. so this was a very emotional sermon that has changed my beliefs forever.

in practically 1 1/2 hours, i switched to the pro-life side. my only exception would be rape. women should think about the consequences before having sex. it could end in the death of a child. thats my verdict. interesting how i started the day reading the book of Genesis. The word Genesis meaning, "beginning, life."

dang. i'm still sore from mt. high. and my back too. and my butt hahaha!

Friday, January 2, 2009

mt. high again!

on new year's day, i was playing texas hold'em with my uncle in law (i guess he is haha) and the subject of snowboarding came up. apparantly my uncle there was a former pro with sponsors and stuff and he just so happened to be heading up to mt. high the next day and invited me to go. so i said, hmmm. what about boards and stuff? cuz it is very last minute and places are closed by now. he however had received many boards from his time so he said i could use one of his. so all i needed was boots since i also had a valid point pass to use up.

5:00 am. friday morning.

its like waking up for school all over again X_X except i was still sore from last time i went to mt. high. haha! so i get my stuff ready and head out with my uncle and his two friends he was also bringing. traffic was nice and light. until we were getting close to mt. high and then it was starting to build up a lil. but we were still able to go fast. upon arriving, we pretty much had our choice of parking haha! so nice and close.

so i went to go get my rental boots, but then had to go back and grab my uncle for a credit card imprint. i need a freaken credit card so i can make my own purchases for once!! i'm always asking my parents hahaha! so then on the form, i just said i was 18 cuz i didn't want to go back and get the uncle again.. luckily the don't check id =) plus i would've passed for one anywayss. so i got the boots, and they were in crummy shape XD. still kinda comfy though. i went back to see the board my uncle brought and it was his old half-pipe board.

we then hoped on the bus to west side! on the way there i made sure to sit on the side where i can look at the mountain. i was trying to see if i could see mochi, the snowman that nicole and angelynn made, from the bus. i wasn't able to really be able to tell, but i saw another one later on taht was huge lol.

we got to west side and then we split up from there. my uncle and his friend went to the top while i stayed on the coyote run. i saw my uncle riding when i was on the lift for a lil while and he's pretty good. especially since he broke his back a long time ago (which brought him out of the competition scene). so i didn't fall nearly as many times as last time haha. i however had a really hard fall when i was trying to slowly attempt carving. i was turning right my body facing at the mountain, and then i guess i hit a bump and i fell and hit my head on the snow pretty hard and it knocked off my glasses. my neck was kinda tweaked from that and my ass hurt too haha! but luckily i came out of that ok. i was working slowly towards being able to carve, i just gotta work on my frontside turns and braking first.

so we decided to leave around 11. on the way back to the east, i looked for mochi again. i think i saw a part of him but far away from where he was made. so i guess the knock down snowmen after the day T_T. cuz the other big one i saw was dead too lol.

while heading out, there was CRAZY traffic! it was about 11:14 and the line of cars went all the way through wrightwood to the 138. so thats like 5-7 miles or so? X__X. good thing we left early on wednesday cuz we would've been screweed! my uncle was asking if i talked to some chicks there haha! cuz there are a lot of hotties there. at first i said no. then he called me gay. but then i redeemed myself cuz i remembered i did talk to one 27 year old on the lift cuz she decided to hop on with me. so my uncle also told me to start meeting a ton of girls in high school, get their numbers, and in college, start bangin! interesting strategy lol. idk if i would go through with that but he said if i do, bring my friends over to his house cuz he's going to put in a stripper pole (i doubt it hahah!). but yea he's just messin with me (or is he?)

new year!

HELLO 2009!

my graduation year has finally come! i'm excited yet also not at the same time haha.

so yesterday i went snowboarding with nicole, teddy, and angelynn at mountain high for the first time ever! it was sooo much fun! teddy gave me the rundown on how to turn and ride. i fell so many times haha! my butt never hurt so much. but it was all good. poor nicole got food poisoning the day before T_T. i tried to help her out as much as i could. hope you feel better soon! i was able to get leafing down on the slopes haha. even though i was kinda scared when i went down the more difficult slope. i was surprised how well nicole was doing for her first time on skis hha! especially on the first run on the bunny slope XD. i remember i was just sitting down (or i fell) and then all of a sudden, i see nicole ski'ing down screaming cuz she didn't know what she was doing ! ohhh man. but she didn't fall! so thats a good thing haha. when we went over to the west side i tried talking to angelynn some more since she wasn't doing any ski'ing or anythign except earlier when she was w/ nicole sledding over where there isn't supposed to be any snowplay. luckily she still had fun!

after the day was done, the secret plot for teddy's birthday was unleashed! we made a cake for him that took 5 hours (YES 5 HOURS) to make. ahha. pyramid cakes rock haha. luckily it came out pretty good. when he approached the door, all three of us silly stringed teddy like crazy!! total ambush haha! so after some eating we gave him our gifts. angelynn had the most creative wrapping i've ever seen ahah! and then mine had no wrapping XD. but the card was pretty bomb. nicole is working on her's still lol.

so the '08 year has been an amazing year! i had an amazing marching season, lots of fun with friends, an amazing relationship, got a great car to use, finally got into jazz 1, finally snowboarded, i was able to do so much in 08. I'll definitely remember 08 forever! its just too bad not all things can carry onto the new year. but at least new beginnings can happen. 09 WARRIORS!! here comes college! freedom! haha!

lets all have an amazing year!
